Valley Salon: Conversation with Mike Feuer

I have had the wonderful opportunity of being a Jeremiah Fellow with Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice. A major driving force of the organization is the mission to do Tikkun Olam, which is a Hebrew phrase that means "repairing the world." I am proud of how Judaism places such great importance in being proactive in fighting for social justice.

Organizational Description
The California Senate Public Safety Committee voted 5-2 late Tuesday to approve Senate Bill 755, legislation by Sen. Lois Wolk, D-Davis, that will add to the list of crimes subject to a 10-year firearms prohibition.
"SB 755 focuses on keeping guns out of the hands of gang members, repeat drug and alcohol offenders, and other criminals, while respecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners," said Wolk in a statement. "This legislation is a reasonable, commonsense approach to help prevent gun violence and keep our communities safe."
